I’m a social worker by trade, a profession which is notoriously difficult to define! I’ve worked in a variety of private and government settings as a mental health clinician, mental health and social researcher, wellbeing and intercultural communication consultant, and university educator. I offer a mixture of care, support, education and consultancy to help people meet life’s challenges. My practice with individuals is relationship centred and recovery oriented, and my focus is primarily on providing emotional safety for you to examine your inner life and the external world. My communication is uncomplicated - I don’t shy away from difficult conversations, or from making visible the elephants in the room. My work with organisations is trauma-informed, and looks to maximise wellbeing of staff by exploring individual interventions and organisational dynamics that support it. I spend my time in various parts of the world, and for that reason, I don’t have a fixed office for face-to-face care. Instead, I can offer tele-health sessions for you to receive in the comfort of your own surroundings. I am highly experienced and effective in the online space, having delivered education, training seminars and individual support via virtual platforms for more than five years. Unless it is a special circumstance, I insist on the use of video tele-helath delivered via a secure online platform for our sessions.
